This site is the latest in an extremely long line of half finished projects all aiming to achieve the same things: To detail the History of the British Army of The Rhine (BAOR). Based in Germany between the Cease Fire in May 1945 and the fall of the Berlin Wall on 3 October 1990, The British Army of the Rhine worked in partnership with its allies to secure the safety of Germany from the Soviet Hoard. It is the purpose of this site to find, capture and record, and comment on the EXPERIENCE of serving in Germany during those momentous days. To give a home to a great deal of random, but useful detail I have written, picked up or want to have handy to refer to. I hope this area is of use to the general browser; and of specific use to the A Team (you know who you are) |
