This page details the Characteristics of the FV Truck, Recovery, 6x6 Foden. Based on the Tractor, 6x6, Foden, Medium Mobility, FH70, a 6x6 forward control vehicle developed to tow the FH70 artillery piece. The resulting Recovery Vehicle is adored by crews and will be a hard act for the MAN SVR to follow. Its cab over engine design gives great forward visibility cross country. Its drive train hauls it through the deepest mud. It would be hard to improve, perhaps requiring only a Central Tyre Inflation system. The crane's maximum reach can only be achieved in conjunction with hydraulic outriggers. The Rear Winch is supported by a pair of hydraulically lowered spades.
Top hamper is all EKA, its AK6500 EA 12. Winch is a Rotzler.
